Amele Amor G. Alcantara
Amele Amor Alcantara is a practicing Broadcast Journalist and an advocate of the promotion of media, culture and arts in Baler Aurora. She earned her degree on Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communication major in Broadcast Journalism from University of the Philippines Diliman. Currently, she is the Station Manager of DWBW 92.1FM Radyo-TV Baler and a part-time instructor in Aurora Polytechnic College. Also, she has actively involved herself in developing and volunteering in cultural and youth programs as well as producing and directing documentaries, short films, stage play and arts festival.
John Gabriel SJ. Almera
John Gabriel Almera, commonly known as Jigs, is an undergraduate student currently taking up BS Development Communication in the University of the Philippines Los Baños.
Creative, daring, and perseverant: these three qualities are often related as to how Jigs performs his identity.
Someone very special to him described him as, "someone who has a big heart and does his best to brighten up every room he enters. He is a kind soul and all of his friends can attest to that."


Abigail G. Amon
Abigail is currently the Communications Manager of Youth Voices Count, a regional network for youth in Asia-Pacific. She has been involved in advocacy work since her undergraduate years, co-founding Team Dugong Bughaw, a youth organization on HIV awareness based in Iloilo, Philippines. She is involved in youth public health networks, being part of the Communications and Strategic Department of Positive Youth Development Network and being Director of Communications & Partnerships of Dungán Western Visayas. Abigail is currently taking her Master’s degree in Development Communication in University of the Philippines.
She finds meaningful work in brainstorming messages and creating digital media for development especially in HIV, public health, and gender. Her spare time allows for photography, digital art, and leisure writing.
Lou Ellen L. Antonio
Since July 2017, Lou Ellen Antonio has been working as a public information officer of Philippine Information Agency--Information Communications Command Center (PIA ICCC) which is responsible for disseminating information on Task Force Bangon Marawi's rehabilitation programs for the affected residents of Marawi siege.
She graduated with flying colors in a bachelor degree of Political Science. 2 years before graduation, a siege erupted in Marawi City. MSU IIT through the College of Arts and Social Sciences has sheltered displaced students from MSU Main campus. Lou volunteered as a documentor. With the desire to continue helping in documenting and disseminating information on early recovery programs for Marawi City, she applied in PIA - the main development communication arm of the government.

Lou is a graduate of OurmindaNOW Tech Camp, organized by Equal Access International Philippines, where she acquired knowledge in promoting awareness on positive messaging and community media solutions in peace advocacies and equipped with skills in crafting alternative narratives against recruitment methods of violent extremist groups.

Lou believes that the youth can play a significant role in preventing or countering violent extremism by using multimedia.

Audrey Mae V. Domasian
Audrey Domasian is a senior social media producer for GMA News. Most of her work involves hunting for viral stories online and creating content for the official GMA News social media accounts, so you can hit that like and share button. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts from De La Salle University in 2010 and is working on with her thesis about fake news for her broadcast studies master’s degree in the University of the Philippines - Diliman. On her spare time, she likes to go dogspotting, and binge-watching series on Netflix.

Deniel Angelou G. Echevarria works for the Presidential Communications Operations Office.
Ma. Lisbet K. Esmael
Lisbet Esmael, a Journalism graduate from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, works for the country's oldest English newspaper The Manila Times. Covering for the business section, she keeps her eyes on the local transportation and telco sectors.

Nadyne S. Gozar
Nadyne Gozar, born from the province of Santa Maria, Bulacan and is currently a 2nd-year college student majoring in Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Manila. She graduated senior high school at STI College – Santa Maria taking up the track Information and Communications Technology in Digital Arts. She was a member of the school’s Council of Leaders and is the club secretary for Apollo’s Army Art’s club.


John Wilmer DG. Jimenez
Jowi currently works as an Information Officer for the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO). As a government communicator, his work involves strengthening the people’s awareness on the different government projects and programs, such as the landmark Freedom of Information. An advocate of good governance, Jowi has worked in various government agencies such the Local Government Academy (LGA) and the Department of Welfare and Social Development (DSWD).
Neil Anthony E. Lajot
Niel Anthony E. Lajot is a faith-fueled student leader who has been passionate in creating impacts to the community. He is currently a sophomore Mass Communication student in Silliman University and is active in school organizations and even in the student government— serving both the executive and the legislative body. He is the Community Officer of the Association of Young Environmental Journalists, a sec-registered youth-led environmental news network that aims to increase the conversation of the protection and preservation of the planet. This year, he founded the Silliman University League of Hosts in pursuit of providing service through hosting events both inside and outside school activities. Niel believes in communal efforts towards nation-building, that is why he capitalizes in training potential youth leaders to be advocates of noble causes.


Karmela Anne B. Lesmoras
Karmela Anne B. Lesmoras, or Mela as her friends call her, is a news correspondent for People's Television (PTV) Network, the Philippine government official TV station. Everyday, she covers the activities of President Rodrigo Duterte, and other events at the Malacañan Palace. Prior to joining the media industry, she served as a Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman in their barangay in General Tinio, Nueva Ecija, while also pursuing her undergraduate studies, which she eventually finished with flying colors. Mela's mantra in life is just this simple: "Yes, you can do it!"
Emmanuel Ian G. Luminario
Emmanuel Ian Garcia Luminario, better known as “Ian” by his colleagues is a young media practitioner from GMA News and Public Affairs. Contrary to his serious job as a News Script Producer, this 25-year-old lad is a funny and adventurous writer who loves to meet new friends. Always been fascinated by culture and arts, Ian used to be a spoken word artist, fashion enthusiast and student leader back in college.

For Ian, food is life but conversation is lifer, as how millennials coined it. He lives to listen and tell stories of struggles, hardships, dreams, aspirations and triumphs. That complements to his day to day grind to bring unbiased, and factual news to public as a journalist in the longest running morning show in the Philippines, Unang Hirit, GMA News TV’s noontime news authority, Balitanghali and the most trusted weekend newscast in the country, 24 Oras weekend.


Jenny L. Ortiz-Bolivar
Jenny L. Ortiz-Bolivar is a news producer for CNN Philippines. She handles the network's morning newscast, New Day, and sports program, Sports Desk. Aside from her work as a journalist, Jenny is active in works involving the youth. She is a volunteer of the YMCA of the Philippines and YMCA of Quezon City, non-government organizations that focuses on youth empowerment and leadership training. When she is not in the newsroom, you will find her spending time with family and binge-watching films or TV series. She loves the outdoors and she often goes camping or traveling to a nearby beach or mountain. She also is a big fan of action-mystery novels, history, films, and a certified dog lover.

Daeron Carlo DC. Pabiloña
Daeron is a cum laude and a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Communication in the University of the East – Caloocan. He is the current program researcher of Pinoy MD, the ONLY health and wellness show of GMA News and Public Affairs. As a journalist, he loves to serve and provide the public regarding health care services and health awareness.

Kenneth James B. Pascua
Kenjie Pascua is never the conversation starter—his body of work speaks a lot about him though. This introverted Creative Writer of Sinematika Inc. has recently ventured in Directing with his recent project being a TV commercial for a major camera phone brand in the Philippines. A low key, go-getter who satisfies brands and clients with his snappy scripts. As a huge fanboy of animes and comic book movies, he believes in making every moment awesome and extraordinary.
Riz P. Sunio
Riz Sunio works full-time in the humanitarian sector doing communications for the Marawi Recovery Project (MRP) of the Community and Family Services International (CFSI) Sub Office Iligan. She is also a correspondent and columnist for SunStar Cagayan de Oro with column name Touché; and stringer for the Philippine News Agency (PNA) Northern Mindanao Bureau.
She is also a fellow of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Media Programme Asia studying Masters in Journalism in Ateneo de Manila University. She had studied, worked, and lived Marawi City, Lanao del Sur for eight years since 2010. She finished the degree AB Communication Studies major in Journalism, Cum Laude; and also studied Master of Arts in English Language Teaching (Completed Academic Requirements) in Mindanao State University - Marawi. Even after being assigned in Iligan City in 2018, she still involved herself in the rehabilitation efforts of the City after the Marawi Siege on May 2017 through humanitarian work, communications, and journalism.


Kristel Mae D. Villanueva
Kristel Mae Villanueva, or Kim as she prefers to be called, is a graduating student from the University of the Philippines Mindanao. She is a Media Arts major under the Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts program. Kim has a knack for production and would love to work in that field after she graduates. Beginning in high school, she has worked in print, audio, video, and events production. She loves to watch YouTube videos and currently has her own YouTube channel that she plans to focus on after graduation. Kim is also a freelance make-up artist and dabbles in hosting and dancing in her free time. Her friends would describe her as a sweet, energetic young woman with a soft-spot for her friends and family. Oh, and she loves warm hugs.
Jessica Ivy A. Zapata
Jessica Zapata is a 3rd year Journalism student from the University of Santo Tomas, who is also the Secretary of the UST Journalism Society. She can speak three languages but she wants to learn more. She's also active in sports but she always puts her academics first.
